Replacement Windows In Middleton
Middleton takes its name from its spot midway between Salem and Andover. It grew as a farming town along the Ipswich River, and today it is one of the fastest-growing towns in the Commonwealth. The Window Source NH replaces windows and doors all over town. We are about 33 minutes and 24.5 miles from our shop in Seabrook.
Colonial Homesteads And Newer Houses
Bray Wilkins came from Salem after buying 600 acres, and early homesteads here ran to hundreds of acres. A number of colonial-era homes are still intact. The Thomas Fuller House dates to 1684. The Wilkins house, built in 1693, once served as a tavern on the road between Salem and Lawrence.
In the 18th century, Middleton also had an ironworks near what is now Mill and Liberty Streets, for about seventy years. From the late 1700s to the mid-1800s, it was a vacation town for people from Lawrence and Lowell.
It is the fastest-growing town on the North Shore. A window project here could be for a centuries-old Colonial or a house only a few years old.
Older homes call for a traditional sash and colonial grids that suit the house. Newer ones usually need efficient glass at a sensible price. A careful measure gets both right.
Low Hills, Ponds And Forest
Middleton sits in the low hills of northeastern Massachusetts. The Ipswich River winds through town, and Middleton Pond and Andover Meadow Pond are its two larger ponds. Parts of Harold Parker State Forest and Boxford State Forest lie within the town, along with the Peabody and Sanford Reservations. Since 2018, the Middleton Rail Trail Alliance has worked to turn the old Essex Railroad line into a walking and biking trail.
If your house backs onto conservation land or water, a window with more glass shows off the view. If comfort and heating bills come first, triple pane is the place to look.
