Replacement Windows In Amesbury
Amesbury sits on the left bank of the Merrimack River, one of the two northernmost towns in Massachusetts. Our shop at 779 Lafayette Road in Seabrook is about 11 minutes and 5.7 miles away. The Window Source NH is a family-owned replacement window and door company. Our own local crew measures, orders and installs every window we sell. The people who quote your job are the people who do it.
Homes Built Around Farms, Mills And Carriage Shops
Amesbury began as a modest farming community and grew into a maritime and industrial town. Shipbuilding, shipping and fishing came first. In the 19th century, textile mills and a nail factory went up at the falls. The Powwow River had powered a town sawmill as far back as 1641.
Around 1800 the town started building carriages. That trade later turned into automobile bodies, with names like Walker Body Company and Biddle and Smart, until the Great Depression ended it. Today Amesbury is largely residential.
That history means your house could be almost any age. An older home may have tall, narrow openings and sash that has been painted shut for years. A newer one may simply have builder-grade windows that fog up or let in drafts. If your rooms face the Merrimack or Lake Attitash, wind off the water will find every gap in an old window.
Windows That Suit Amesbury Houses
Most homeowners start with our best seller, the Harvey Classic, from $617 installed. It has fusion-welded frames, double-strength glass and a .24 U-value. It is a sound choice for nearly any room in the house.
For a house with older character, the Harvey Tribute from $683 installed has contoured, beveled sash and hidden tilt latches. Pair it with colonial grids and it keeps a traditional look from the street.
Prefer a lower starting price? The Gentek Series 3000 starts at $587 installed. It has a foam-insulated frame, double-strength glass and a .28 U-value.
If drafts are the main complaint, look at the Harvey Homerun from $699 installed. It is our best value: a custom-built Harvey with triple-pane glass and a .18 U-value, the most efficient window we sell.
These prices are for a white double hung with basic installation. Grids and colors add. Harvey Windows + Doors is a New England manufacturer based in Waltham, and you can read more on our Harvey windows in Massachusetts page.
Windows are only part of it. We also replace entry doors, including Harvey fiberglass, and sliding patio doors from Harvey and Gentek. For a room that needs more light, ask about bay and bow windows.

Neighboring Towns We Also Serve
Being this close to the state line, we work up and down the lower Merrimack. Besides Amesbury, we install windows and doors in Salisbury, Merrimac, Newburyport and West Newbury. Merrimac was created out of West Amesbury in 1876, so the two towns share a good part of their past. You can see every town we cover on our Essex County page.
