Replacement Windows In Groveland
Groveland is one of the closer Essex County towns to our shop. From 779 Lafayette Road in Seabrook, it is about 23 minutes and 14.8 miles away. The Window Source NH is a family-owned replacement window and door company. We serve both of the town’s precincts, Groveland and South Groveland, with our own local crew.
A River Town With Deep Roots
Groveland began as the East Parish of Bradford, which itself was once part of Rowley. It became its own town on September 9, 1850, and residents still mark the date as Groveland Day. The Congregational church holds a bell made by Paul Revere’s company. Town hall displays Veto, a hand pump fire engine built in 1798.
The town lies along the south bank of the Merrimack River. The Parker River and several brooks run through it. Crane Pond sits at the eastern end, and Johnson’s Pond lies on the Boxford line. Much of the eastern corner is the Crane Pond Wildlife Management Area.
North Groveland is home to Stickney’s Boulder. South Groveland has Washington Park and Nuns’ Hill. Elm Park, built in 2005, sits near the town center.
What That Means For Your Windows
A town settled in the 1600s and incorporated in 1850 can hold houses from many eras. Your home might have stood for generations, or it might be fairly new. The right window depends on which one you live in, and on what bothers you about the windows you have now.
On an older home, the look of the sash matters as much as the numbers. The Harvey Tribute has contoured, beveled sash and hidden tilt latches for a traditional look. Add colonial grids and it reads as a classic window from the street.
On a newer home, comfort and upkeep usually lead the list. Rooms that feel cold in winter often come down to old glass and loose sash. A tighter, more efficient window is the fix, and it does not have to be the most expensive one.
Four Double Hungs Worth Comparing
Prices below are installed, for a white double hung with basic installation. Grids and colors add to the price.
