Replacement Windows In Danvers
Danvers began in 1636 as Salem Village, and its farmers later earned it the nickname Oniontown. Today the town sits on the Danvers River, about 35 minutes and 26.5 miles from our shop in Seabrook, NH. The Window Source NH replaces windows, entry doors and patio doors here. Every window is measured, ordered and installed by our own local crew.
A Town That Grew In Stages
Danvers did not fill in all at once. It was a farming town first, known for the Danvers Onion and the Danvers Half-Long Carrot. The railroad reached town in 1847, and a horse-drawn street railway followed in 1884. Shoe factories ran here in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Liberty Tree Mall opened in 1972, and the 2020s have brought new work downtown.
So the house you want new windows for could be quite old or fairly new. Some Danvers history is still standing, like the Rebecca Nurse Homestead and the Town Hall, built in 1855 and still in use. If your own home is older, you probably want it to keep a traditional face. In that case the shape of the sash and the grids matter as much as the glass.
If your home is newer, the choice is simpler. Pick the efficiency you want and a look that suits the street. Either way, we measure every opening ourselves before anything is ordered.
Windows We Suggest For Danvers Homes
The prices below are installed prices for a white double hung with basic installation. Grids and colors add to the price.
- Harvey Classic from $617 installed. Our best seller, with a .24 U-value, fusion-welded frames and double-strength glass. It suits most homes in town.
- Harvey Tribute from $683 installed. Contoured, beveled sash and hidden tilt latches give an older house a traditional look, with a .25 U-value.
- Harvey Homerun from $699 installed. Our best value: a custom-built Harvey with triple-pane glass and a .18 U-value, the most efficient window we sell.
- Gentek Series 3000 from $587 installed. A foam-insulated frame and double-strength glass, with a .28 U-value.
Harvey Windows + Doors is a New England manufacturer based in Waltham, Massachusetts. Read more about Harvey windows in Massachusetts, or compare every double hung we install. For a colonial look, ask about our colonial grids.
Not sure where to start? The Classic is the safe middle choice for most houses. If heating bills worry you most, look hard at the Homerun. If your home is older and you care about its face, the Tribute is the one to see. The Series 3000 is a good option if budget leads the way.
Windows are only part of the job for some homes. We also replace entry doors, with Harvey fiberglass doors and Therma-Tru on request. We install sliding patio doors from Harvey and Gentek, plus basement hopper windows.
